The following recipe will show you two options for onion bhaji's Ingredients: 500g of onion, sliced neatly 1/4 medium green capsicum, sliced 1/2 medium potato, peeled and sliced thinly 20g of red split lentils, washed 1 tablespoon of dried methi 1/4 tablespoon of cumin seeds (Jeera) 2 tablespoons of fresh coriander, chopped 2 eggs 2½ tablespoons of mix powder Pinch of of salt 250g of gram flour Pinch of orange food colour Method: 1. Mix all of the ingredients together. 2. If you want to make round bhajis, shape the mixture into balls with your fingers. 3. If you want to make flat bhajis, shape the mixture into patties with the palms of your hands. 4. Cook the bhajis in vegetable ghee or vegetable oil at 160 degrees for 15 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown. |
